I recently received a nanoBTS 165G, which strangely enough made a rattling sound. While it’s a bad sign, as there might be a chance to short out and break the BTS, it’s a super easy fix. Here the insights!
In addition to the three SMA connectors on the outside of the nanoBTS for connecting the antennas, it also has three internal connectors on the PCB,
The connectors contain a small metal ring, or well, they should.

So ideally, after opening the nanoBTS’ case you should find a small, loose metal ring on the inside.
Simply place it on the connector and firmly press it down. Fixed!
